Some of the best deer repellents are not put into a little bottle that you spray around your garden. Some more natural or safer methods of preventing deer from entering your garden is the use of deer netting or deer fence.

As everyone well knows there is an increase in rural housing developments which has led to an increasing lack of space for deer. The deer’s natural habitat is diminishing and their food is getting scarce for them and they are left with little options but to nibble on our gardens, plants and flowers. As we all know they love to eat everything they find that is green unless the property owner plants deer repellent plants or plants that deer wont eat. The other option is to try deer netting.

The most common methods used by people in earlier years were to protect a yard, garden or farm from deer was the installation of some kind of barrier. Deer netting in this way are very economical, effective and easy to install and our forefathers where on to something using a more natural method to protect there crops.  Deer netting is still used to this day and it’s an inexpensive alternative to providing adequate protection for our gardens and landscaping.

You can get deer netting in various heights and widths. However, you must take into consideration the height of the net, if to small it may not stop a deer from jumping over it, if the deer netting is too big then it could be an eye sore.  That being said deer netting will save your precious shrubs or plants from deer if the right one is purchased.

Some people may say that installing the deer netting is very tough but in my experience the installation of deer netting can be done with some basic tools, time and patience. First of all you should know the area in which the netting is to be installed. Ideally it should be done to cover the parameter of the desired area. However, if you want to cover your garden area only then also you should choose the netting with a proper height and length, if your deer netting is not long enough then you may have breaks in the parameter of the place you are trying to restrict deer.

By installing deer netting  and planting repellent plants you can ensure simple effective and economical solution for your garden and ornamental landscaping protection. Using a deer netting is generally a long term answer to your deer pest problems, Deer nets usually last for years before having to be replaced.

You can choose from a number of varieties available in the market.
